Visage

On her bridal day.
She was more lovely
Than all the world.
Took him an eternity
To realize her very heart
Which he mimed

A soon to pass dream,
All too ready
To let it pass…
A sentiment or two over coffee,
The tip-toe around the personality
Of early a.m. hours

This was neither one of them.
Knowing once in some wild hour,
Remembrance had disavowed hope,
That a spell had bound them that night,
Lassoed the moon straight over them.
Such was the assemblance of things to come.
